Garlic chive flowers (Allium tuberosum)

Garlic chive flowers (Allium tuberosum) are a relative of the onion
family, but taste more like a fresh burst of garlic rather than
chives. Not overpowering in any way, they make a zesty addition to any
green salad.  They’re currently flourishing in parks and gardens all
around Melbourne, including a few spots near us in Reservoir. Take a
look at our Facebook page to see our spring salmon dish, beautifully
garnished with these babies.
